Research interests

I am interested in soil microbial ecology. Main topics of my research are the relationships between earthworms and microorganisms and their consequences on nutrient cycling and organic matter decomposition, as well as plant as drivers of soil microbial diversity. I am also examining how plant invasion modifies soil microbial communities.

I am interested in life histories, especially in hermaphrodites like earthworms. I have worked in reproductive strategies of hermaphrodites using as model organisms Eisenia fetida and other earthworm species.
